It's important to select a quality threaded insert like this one for your project. There are other kinds of inserts available from hardware stores made with softer metals that are designed for lighter materials like particleboard. Please note those softer inserts are not suitable for your timber and epoxy projects. A typical epoxy river table will be made of hardwood, solid epoxy and steel supports - these materials are heavy and dense, and require fasteners that can support a lot of load. That's exactly what these steel threaded inserts are designed for! These are the same threaded inserts that we use in our own work to attach c channels and legs. Size is M6, 13mm Deep. $1.00 each.
